Job description

Job Summary

Do you want to turn nutrition knowledge into meaningful community impact? You will coordinate and expand Food for Health programs that strengthen nutrition security across our service area while collaborating with healthcare partners, interns and internal teams. In this role, you manage key program logistics, support nutrition education initiatives and help advance grant-funded projects that improve access to healthy food. What success looks like in the first 6–12 months includes strong healthcare partner relationships, smooth coordination of Food for Health programs, effective oversight of dietetic interns and measurable contributions to nutrition education materials, surveys and program data.

Day in the LifeCoordinate Healthcare Programs
  • Prepare program materials such as agreements, training materials and flyers
  • Coordinate onboarding of new healthcare partners
  • Place program orders and communicate delivery information to healthcare partners
  • Maintain strong relationships with healthcare partners
  • Conduct site visits to assess program standards and partner agency needs
  • Collect and maintain reported partner data
Dietetic Internship Program Management
  • Manage the dietetic internship program
  • Supervise graduate students
  • Coordinate placements and projects with university program directors
  • Maintain relationships with program partners and university directors
Food for Health Initiatives Support
  • Develop nutrition materials for box programs
  • Work with operations to determine appropriate inventory selection for box assembly

Required QualificationsHow You Have Spent Your Time
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • One to three years of experience in nutrition, dietetics or public health
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in social work or public health
Safety Sensitive Designation

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law. Employees in safety sensitive roles perform duties where even a momentary lapse in concentration could result in injury to themselves, others or cause environmental harm. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is not permitted to hire applicants who hold a medical marijuana card for safety sensitive positions, in compliance with state law.

Physical & Environmental Expectations

Work is primarily performed in an environmentally controlled office or vehicle setting. You will maintain stationary positions for extended periods, transition between positions during the workday and occasionally move objects weighing up to 10 pounds. The role requires safe vehicle operation, fine motor coordination and sustained attention to environmental cues, alarms and instructions. Occasional travel up to 25 percent may be required for meetings, training or assignments, typically allowing return home nightly. Work outside of regular schedules may be required based on business necessity and will be documented and compensated in compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
