OverviewThe Early Talent Intern program is an 8-12 week paid internship and career exploration opportunity designed for high school students living in communities served by Novant Health. Supported by the Emerging Talent and Workforce Development department, the program builds early awareness of healthcare careers and strengthens the future talent pipeline through hands-on experience and professional development.
As part of Novant Health's broader workforce development strategy, the program helps address healthcare workforce shortages while expanding access to career opportunities-particularly for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Interns gain meaningful exposure to both clinical and non-clinical roles across the organization, allowing them to develop foundational skills and better understand the wide range of career paths available in healthcare.
The program emphasizes career exploration, workforce readiness, mentorship, professional skill-building, and real-world exposure to healthcare environments. Ultimately, the Early Talent Intern program empowers students early in their academic journey by connecting them to educational and career pathways that support long-term success in the healthcare field
