Job Summary

Assist Custom Design Marketing (CDM) team with technical review and data entry of NEMA frame and above NEMA frame industrial motors. Support marketing with data collection for market analysis based on quotes and orders generated from quotes. Learn and understand the engineering that goes into our products and how it related to Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide technical support to Custom Design Marketing Team:

  • Work performed includes assisting CDM Team in Review of consulting engineer's technical specification and matching of the specification requirements to our product offering.
  • Cost Analysis of products and features.
  • Work with Marketing/Product management to update prices as needed.
  • Research, Monitor and post projects for Sales and CDM Team
  • Identify personal training requirements to immediate supervisor
  • Adheres to su0pport workflow requirements to achieve Service Level Agreements
  • Actively interact through e-mails and phone calls with Sales, Engineering and Product Management to resolve issues/problems.
  • Assist in data entry/ write-up of quotations for customers including detailed exceptions and/or clarifications to the specification
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time
  • Update historical dimensions prints into Engineering/CDM library
  • Review quoting process SOPs Documentation-Interview team members and shadow quoting steps to write clear, step-by-steps SOPs for different quoting scenarios (ETOs, Stock-Conversion, Duplicate Motors, Project with specifications).
  • Standard quoting template update and maintenance-Propose a standardized version of quote template (including the comments and quote inclusions).
  • Assist Training Team Lead with "Lessons Learned" Internal Newsletter-Collects lessons from recent quoting/order issues, customer complaints, or project successes.
  • "Voice of the Customer" feedback review - Gathering and categorizing customer feedback from emails, can be creating surveys, or interview with Sales and relates to quoting, products offerings, and/or prices.
  • Document Control and Centralization Project - Assist in organizing shared drives;/documents. Review and update files.
  • Motor Feature Cost Impact Analysis - Assist with Cost Analysis of new and existing products.
  • Stock/Conversion/ETO Motor Identifier Tool - Create a tool to identify if requested motor can be quoted as Stock, Conversion, and/or ETO.
  • NEMA and IEC motor design differences guide - Update presentations and create a simplified guide/file. Researching and compare standards, frame sizes, and terminologies.
