Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
CITI Inc.'s internship program is designed to offer students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in engineering, operations, and business functions. Interns will be exposed to real-world projects, professional mentorship, and collaborative work environments that foster both technical and professional growth.
This internship will allow candidates to contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects while developing valuable skills that align with their academic background and career goals. Responsibilities will be tailored to company and business needs, providing a well-rounded experience in system integration and operational support.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities will be determined based on company and business needs and may include, but are not limited to:
Control Panel Fabrication and Testing
  • Assist in the assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels.
  • Support quality assurance checks and documentation.

Control System Application Development (PLC, SCADA, etc.)
  • Support in programming, testing, and troubleshooting automation systems.
  • Participate in software configuration and system integration tasks.

Administrative Support
  • Assist in maintaining project records, documentation, and reports.
  • Provide support for scheduling, communications, and data entry.

Design and Submittal Preparation
  • Assist engineers with design documentation and CAD drawings.
  • Prepare technical submittals and support proposal development

Other Duties as Assigned
  • Participate in project-based assignments across departments.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities to broaden exposure.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager to determine documentation requirements and develops project specific documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). CAD or programming experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate hand/power tools, computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
  • Physically able to travel to job sites to perform panel installation or modifications, assist in the startup of panel and instrumentation systems
  • Extended hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines. This may include weekdays, weekends or holidays. May be assigned to work at a Client's facility or site for an extended period of time.
  • While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
