An Education Policy Internship is a temporary position that allows students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the field of education policy. Interns typically work with government agencies, think tanks, advocacy groups, or educational institutions to assist with research, policy analysis, and program evaluation. These internships provide opportunities to learn about the policymaking process, contribute to projects that influence educational systems, and develop professional skills relevant to careers in education, public policy, or government.

What typical projects or tasks can an education policy intern expect to work on during their internship?

As an Education Policy Intern, you can expect to assist with a variety of projects such as policy research, data analysis, drafting policy briefs, and attending stakeholder meetings. Interns often support senior staff in monitoring legislative developments, summarizing key findings, and preparing presentations. Collaboration is common, as you'll frequently work with policy analysts, advocacy teams, and sometimes external partners to gather insights or coordinate events. This hands-on experience provides a solid foundation in understanding how education policy is shaped and implemented.
