Job description

We are a global digital agency comprised of strategists, creatives, media experts, data scientists, and engineers driven by one common purpose - accelerate business growth through marketing and digital transformation. Named a top 3% Google Premier Partner and recognized by Inc. 5000 and Adweek's 75 Fastest Growing Companies, we're constantly looking for "A" players to join our team.
The rapid growth is attributed to our strongest asset - our people. Our teams are highly collaborative and work closely with each client to set clear goals and objectives so that we can deliver exceptional results. Mindgruve is a place where every opinion is valued. Not only will you be empowered to contribute ideas, but you will also play a key role in the execution and driving success for brands across a variety of industries. Sound fun? Perfect - you'll fit right in.
We are looking for a Media Strategy Associate to join our dynamic media department. In this position, you'll contribute to the coordination, development, and implementation of comprehensive media plans tailored to our clients' objectives. These plans span across television, radio, search, and social media campaigns.
As an integral member of our Los Angeles team, you'll participate in the strategic process of determining how, when, and where our audiences encounter advertising messages. Working closely with a skilled group of 6+ media professionals, you will analyze campaign goals and devise strategies to effectively communicate with target audiences. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media planning for a nationally recognized brand with over a century of presence in America-ideal for candidates who love numbers, research, and strategic thinking. This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles (with in-office presence required two days per week).
What You'll Do Here:
  • Gather information to be used in the development of media plans
  • Partner with Media Strategists in the development of media plans and recommendations
  • Prepare and maintain buy details, and flowcharts and assist with budget reporting
  • Issue and maintain media insertion orders/contracts
  • Assist with campaign analysis and optimization recommendations
  • Coordinate with external partners and internal departments
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of our accounts and the happiness of our clients
  • Bring fresh perspective and ideas while building your foundational skills around smart, strategic media planning
  • Manage offline traffic responsibilities, including securing creative materials and delivering them to designated television and radio stations
We Need a Person With:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in advertising, marketing, and/or communications
  • 0-1 year of media planning or buying experience (internships preferred)
  • A working understanding of media, research resources, and terminology
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint or Keynote skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • "Owning it" mentality, which means gracefully solving whatever problems or challenges present themselves without having to be asked
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work well independently and with team members
  • A positive attitude who is a team player
  • The ability to deliver on deadlines
  • A natural affinity for research, numbers, and analysis
Compensation:
Compensation: $28 - $30 per hour (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.)
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work. (Bonus points if you're bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese.)
Mindgruve is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
