Assistant Equipment Engineer – Battery Manufacturing

Entry-Level

Job Summary

We are hiring an Entry-Level Assistant Equipment Engineer to support the commissioning, optimization, and improvement of automated equipment on our battery production lines. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate looking to build hands-on experience working closely with senior engineers and technicians on real production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the evaluation and improvement of battery production equipment
  • Support equipment commissioning, debugging, and PLC programming/adjustments
  • Help analyze equipment performance data to identify causes of downtime or defects
  • Assist with servo systems, robotics, VFDs, sensors, and industrial communication setup
  • Support electrical troubleshooting, including control cabinets, IO signals, and safety circuits
  • Work alongside equipment technicians on maintenance planning and technical issues
  • Help develop and update equipment maintenance standards, SOPs, and documentation
  • Participate in new equipment installation, qualification, and production ramp-up
  • Support cross-functional projects with production, quality, and process engineering teams

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following (or a related engineering field):

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering / Mechanical-Electronic Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Automation
  • Automation

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience; recent graduates welcome
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience with equipment, automation, or controls is a plus
