We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Customer Applications Engineer (CAE) to serve as a key technical resource for customers and internal teams. This role combines engineering expertise with customer support, requiring the ability to analyze application requirements, recommend effective product solutions, and resolve technical challenges.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate across sales, manufacturing, and engineering functions to deliver high-quality solutions. This position plays an important role in supporting customer success, driving application-based recommendations, and maintaining BRECOflex's commitment to technical excellence and quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze customer needs and provide technical solutions for product inquiries.
  • Assist internal and external customers via phone, email, chat, and video.
  • Work with the Account Coordinators to support technical quoting.
  • Evaluate customer samples and returned products to support sales initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve technical inquiries.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of BRECOflex product lines and their applications.
  • Perform internal ISO audits as directed.

What You'll Bring:

  • Required:
    • BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent education and experience).
    • Mechanical problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical drawings.
    • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
    • Ability to visualize and understand machine applications.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Curiosity and passion for helping customers with technical challenges.
  • Preferred (A plus):
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (or other CRM) and SAGE (or ERP systems).
    • Knowledge of industrial automation and drive components.
    • Ability to create solid models in a CAD system.
    • Customer-facing experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
    • Strong time and project management skills.
