Pet Emergency & Specialty Center of Marin is looking to add a full-time emergency veterinarian to our well-established and growing 24-hour hospital.

About Us:

The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (PESCM) is part of the Veritas Veterinary Partners network of emergency and specialty hospitals. PESCM is the only emergency and specialty hospital in Marin County (north of San Francisco) and has proudly served the community since 1998. It has grown to become one of the largest emergency and specialty hospitals in the Bay Area, offering comprehensive specialty services and 24/7 emergency services.

In 2025, we moved into an expansive facility we custom-designed for our needs. Our state-of-the-art facility has 15 exam rooms, a large central ICU, 5 ORs, MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, 2 digital radiology suites, dedicated rooms for Endoscopy and Ultrasound, and staff wellness, all designed from a Fear Free perspective. Our team consists of 15+ experienced Emergency doctors (many with 10+ years of experience), 3 Criticalists, 4 Internists, 3 Surgeons, 2 Radiologists, 2 Neurologists, 2 Cardiologists, 2 Oncologists, 2 Ophthalmologists, and an Anesthesiologist. In addition to a regular stream of vet student externs, we also host a class of 4 rotating interns with associated didactics that are open to the whole hospital.
Our culture is collegial, collaborative, respectful, and fun, with many of our emergency doctors, specialists, and support staff having been with PESCM for several years

The Role:

Work alongside other Emergency doctors and Specialists to provide quality medical care and client service
Work collaboratively with support staff and provide mentorship to Interns rotating through the service
The schedule is 12 shifts per month, with half of them consisting of overnights. Day shifts are from 7 am-5 pm, Swings 2 pm-12 am, and overnights are from 8 am to 8 pm.
Schedule will include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and a mix of overnights, swings, and day shifts

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
  • $200,000 base salary
  • Typical earnings with production: $$230,000 to $300,000
