Job description

Herzing University is seeking motivated college students to participate in our Summer 2026 Internship Program. This is a paid, projectbased internship experience designed to offer meaningful, handson work that aligns with students’ academic interests and career goals.

This is a single universal internship posting supporting placements across multiple departments. This posting will close at the end of business on Friday, May 29th.
Interns will be matched to projects based on background, interests, and program needs. All internships include defined deliverables, mentorship, and an endofsummer reportout.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Duration: 8–12 weeks (June–August)
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (based on department needs and student availability)
  • Compensation:
    • Starting rate: $18.00 per hour
    • Compensation may vary slightly depending on internship placement and skill requirements
  • Location:  Dependent on department placement - may be Hybrid, Remote or OnSite 
  • Supervision: Each intern is assigned a supervisor/mentor with regular checkins
  • Capstone: Interns present a final summary of work, learning, and impact

POTENTIAL DEPARTMENT PLACEMENTS & PROJECT OVERVIEW

Internship placements may include, but are not limited to:

  • Student Affairs: Student reentry and persistence analysis, student engagement research, and career development initiatives
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruitment marketing, process documentation, and earlycareer pipeline development
  • Information Technology / AI: AI agent development support, documentation, testing, and adoption initiatives
  • Business Intelligence & Data Governance: Power BI reporting support and data governance adoption projects
  • Academic Affairs – Curriculum & Assessment: Curriculum design, learning outcomes mapping, and AIintegrated assessment design
  • Academic Operations: Furthering academic rank model
  • Instructional Design / Learning Experience: Transitioning Canvas courses to DesignPLUS templates to improve accessibility and design consistency
  • New Markets & Strategic Growth: Market research, competitive analysis, funding and regulatory research, and healthcare ecosystem mapping to support campus expansion
  • Communications & Digital Platforms: Internal communications, MyHerzing support, and readiness initiatives
  • Admissions Marketing Support: Content creation and visual storytelling to support key stages of the enrollment funnel

Final placement will be determined based on applicant qualifications, interests, and departmental needs. Spots are filled as qualified applicants are identified, so not all listed opportunities may be available at the time of application.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Actual duties vary by department placement)

  • Conduct research and data analysis in support of departmental initiatives
  • Prepare reports, summaries, dashboards, or presentations
  • Support project planning, documentation, and execution
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners as appropriate
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Complete assigned deliverables and final project presentation

EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Completion of at least one year of college coursework
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.5 (additional documentation will be requested to verify GPA)
  • Pursuing a degree relevant to the internship area
  • Authorized to work in the United States (We do not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time)

Applicants will be given priority in the following order (when qualifications are comparable):

  1. Herzing University students
  2. Dependents of Herzing employees
  3. External students

Dependents of employees may not be placed in the same department where their parent or guardian works or has influence as it may be a conflict of interest.
