JOB SUMMARY:

The New Ventures Operational Development Intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain hands on exposure to our new projects and project sustainment, with exposure to project management, document creation, training and onboarding creation, and transformation and change management. This internship offers a unique blend of learning experiences across business process improvement, training coordination, and project strategy enhancements. This role will support New Ventures leadership in the planning of new destinations and experiences, focused on pre-opening plans and operational development. The intern will assist in operational development, brainstorming, ideation, documentation, and archiving for appropriate projects as needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The New Ventures Operational Development Intern will be key in helping us develop onboarding and operations strategies for new destinations.
  • Cross departmental collaboration for multi department training plan creation.
  • Development of communication tools for new destinations senior leadership.
  • Inclusion in planning related to design discussions and general support of the NVOD team.
  • Collects, analyzes, and updates existing New Ventures projects operational and onboarding plans.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance TM engagement with research into local market trends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:ย 
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.ย 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to present in front of others is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to interact seamlessly between multiple levels of the organization
  • Preferred - Leadership experience and Hospitality industry knowledge, management or oversight of multifaceted projects or operations
  • Preferred - familiarity with graphic design, Canva, and/or SharePoint design
  • Amusement/Theme Park or equivalent experience
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Preferred majors include:
    • Bachelor's degree
      Business Administration
      Hospitality Management
      Project Management
    • Master's degree
      Organizational Leadership
      Organizational Development and Change
      MBA with specialization in Change Management

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
