Job description

Build. Compete. Win $25,000.
Duration: June - August 2026 (3 months)
Fundwell is a financial technology platform revolutionizing the way businesses access capital. Traditional business financing often involves complex processes, hidden fees, and lengthy approval times. We're changing that and fast. Leveraging our proprietary technology, deep industry expertise, and ethical-first approach, we deliver quick, transparent, and tailored funding solutions to small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. Today, our platform is expanding beyond financing into receivables, payables, and embedded payments, giving businesses greater control over their cash flow.
What You'll Be Working On
We're accepting five interns, you'll be handed a real problem, a real budget, and the autonomy to solve it. We are hosting a 3 month long hackathon for interns to build something that can change the trajectory of Fundwell. Then we judge it, and someone will walk away with $25,000.
Your project will be scoped to your strengths and Fundwell's highest-leverage opportunities at the time. That means building AI-powered tools, automation workflows, and intelligent systems that create measurable impact across the business - from how we attract customers to how we build products.
Whatever your track, the expectation is the same: identify the opportunity, build the solution, demo your progress, and show results. We'll give you the resources. The rest is on you.
The Program
From day one, you're building toward a final presentation to a panel of judges that includes our executive leadership. Throughout the summer, you'll run regular demos to show your progress and iterate based on feedback. At the end, the intern with the best results - measured by real impact, creativity, and execution.
Prizes:
  • 1st Place: $25,000 grand prize
  • 2nd Place: An all-expenses-paid trip for you and your friends**

Who We're Looking For
You're a student with a genuine obsession with AI and automation. You don't wait for permission to build things. You've probably already shipped something on your own, even if it's small.
You should apply if:
  • You're comfortable working with LLMs, APIs, MCP and automation tools
  • You thrive with open-ended problems and minimal hand-holding
  • You want real ownership, not busywork
  • You're genuinely competitive and the idea of a $25K prize makes you sharpen up
  • You have a background in CS, engineering, data science, or a related technical field is preferred, but we care more about what you've built than your major.
What's in it for You
  • $20-25/hour base compensation
  • Latest-Gen Mac Mini workstation
  • Virtual spend card loaded with AI credits (Anthropic, OpenAI, and more)
  • A sandboxed environment to build freely - no red tape, no production risk
  • Direct access to Fundwell's leadership team
  • College credit coordination available upon request
  • A rรฉsumรฉ line that actually means something
