Responsibilities

  • Business & Technical Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications for IT teams. Ensure that IT solutions meet the needs of the business while being feasible from a technical standpoint.
  • Stakeholder & Finance Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including finance teams, to ensure alignment on project goals, scope, budget, and timelines. Manage stakeholder expectations, ensure projects stay on budget, and address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • API Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to design, implement, and optimize API solutions to improve system connectivity and data exchange. Ensure that APIs are properly integrated and meet business requirements.
  • ITIL Process Management: Apply ITIL best practices to improve IT service management processes, such as incident management, change management, and problem management. Work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services, ensuring that business requirements are met within established service management frameworks.
  • Project Management Support: Assist project managers in defining project scope, deliverables, and milestones. Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met. Proactively identify risks and issues, providing recommendations to keep projects on track.
  • Communication & Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Regularly update management on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for business process improvement, especially in the context of API integration, IT service management, and overall system performance. Propose and help implement changes to enhance productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including business and technical requirements, process flow diagrams, API specifications, and user manuals. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • General Tasks: Perform various business analysis tasks including data analysis, system testing, stakeholder engagement, and assisting in the prioritization of IT-related projects based on business impact.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in IT, with a focus on ITIL processes, API integration, stakeholder management, and finance.
  • ITIL Expertise: In-depth knowledge and practical experience applying ITIL processes, particularly in service management, change management, and problem management.
  • API Knowledge: Experience with API design, integration, and optimization in a business context.
  • Stakeholder & Finance Management: Strong ability to manage relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders, including finance departments, to ensure project success within budget and scope.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and executive-level presentations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Tools & Software: Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Office Suite, and other business analysis or project management tools. Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Postman, Apigee) is a plus.
