  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • The medical technologist performs a variety of laboratory tests, procedures and related duties, in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, by following established standards and practices. The medical technologist is responsible for the orderly processing of patient specimens during the assigned work shift. This includes specimen collection, testing, processing, and reporting of accurate results. Includes issue resolution in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases. The technologist maintains active communication and strengthens collaborative relationships among the pathologists, medical staff, nursing units, and other lab staff.

    • Minimum Education
      • Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related field
    • Minimum Experience
      • Required clinical internship in an MLT approved program
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
