Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under direction from the Hotel Maintenance Supervisor, will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in Guest rooms/suites, meeting space, restaurant and common areas including building interiors and exteriors and pool.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel/lodge, hotel/lodge property, restaurant, meeting rooms and grounds.
  • Responds to all building-related safety concerns.
  • Supports hotel/lodge departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
  • Deals with Guest related concerns.
  • Maintains Guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
  • Cleans and maintains pool and spa.
  • Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor, dollies and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required.
  • Drives vehicles to transport materials such as furniture, supplies or equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

  1. Required Education: HS DIPLOMA Preferred Education: N/A
  2. Work Experience:
    1. Three (3) years of resort or hotel maintenance experience
  3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
    2. Skill in applying building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
    3. Ability to use power hand tools and equipment.
  4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
    1. Pool/Spa Certification (CPO)
  5. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
  8. Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
