Overview
The Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing various indirect tax returns, assisting with and supporting the overall tax compliance function of the organization and special projects as assigned. This role will report to the Indirect Tax Manager.
Responsibilities
• Prepares, files, and pays sales & use, gross receipts, and provider tax returns via check or online.
• Researches taxability of goods and services using provided software.
• Maintains tax rates on worksheets and within billing system.
• Responsible for sending exemption and resale certificate requests to new customers.
• Renews business licenses and applies for new business licenses at the request of operation leaders.
• Assists with unclaimed property holder reports and mailing diligence letters.
• Respond to W-9 requests and archive 1099 forms.
• Assists in special projects and audits as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
• 0-2 years accounting experience (e.g. prior internship).
• Computer literacy, including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting systems. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion preferred but not required.
