Role: R&D FEA Engineer for Neurovascular
Location: Irvine, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Develop & utilize structural finite-element modeling tools for the design and evaluation of neurovascular device/s.,
Implement general mechanical design and solid mechanics fundamentals to drive product development for the treatment of neurovascular diseases.,
Work collaboratively with front-end R&D and product development teams as well as with cross-functional team members to bring new products to market.,
Utilize computational modeling & simulation to develop new test methods, integrate materials and processes, characterize device performance.,
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate technical assessments and analysis results.,
Generate technical reports for submission to regulatory agencies.,
Offer insight, guidance, and mentorship to project team members.,
Aid in the generation of intellectual property.,
Analyze computational modeling & simulation results, distill key findings, and translate them into conclusions.,
Must Have:

A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline,
Minimum 4 years of experience in using Abaqus Implicit and Explicit solvers to solve real-life biomedical engineering problems., OR master s degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.,

Experience with CAD modeling in SolidWorks.,
Coding experience with Python and Matlab.,
Master s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or related discipline with a research focus on modeling vascular implants, e.g., stents or heart valves, .,
Experience with running simulations on high-performance computing clusters., Experience with verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification for structural simulations as per ASME V&V 10, 20, and 40.,
Experience of writing detailed technical reports.,
Effective collaboration with R&D engineers for material characterization and device-level bench testing.
