Job description

Job Title: Health Insurance Enrollment Data Entry Location: Washington, DC (100% onsite) Pay: $23.50/hour (W2) Type: Contract | Schedule: 40 hours/week

Overview

Join a fast-paced enrollment operations team supporting a large health insurance organization. You’ll help ensure members are accurately enrolled and updated in enrollment systems—quickly, correctly, and in line with group contract rules (including more complex accounts).

Must-Haves

  • Able to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC (40 hours/week)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in membership enrollment and/or member services, billing, claims operations, or data analysis in a healthcare enviroment
  • Experience processing enrollment events such as adds, changes, and terminations
  • Strong ability to research and resolve enrollment discrepancies and maintain accurate member records
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with high-volume data
  • Clear written and verbal communication and a customer service mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort navigating multiple systems in a production/quality-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enroll members in the enrollment system in a timely manner
  • Verify enrollment status and update membership records (adds/changes/terminations and other enrollment events)
  • Research and resolve enrollment system discrepancies; ensure data accuracy across sources/systems
  • Identify abnormalities or issues in the enrollment process and escalate when appropriate
  • Match the selected health plan to the member or group request
  • Coordinate with a Billing team member to ensure group enrollments are completed before monthly billing runs
  • Support monthly reconciliation activities and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with training support for new hires and refresher training for experienced team members (as needed)

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 3+ years in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, and/or data analysis
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfort using standard office tools (email, internet research, Microsoft applications)
