Indiana Tech is seeking Adjunct Faculty in our traditional Day Communication program. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Communication, such as journalism, broadcasting, and graphic design.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Teach courses as defined by course and learning objectives established through the college and defined in teaching letter of agreement. Adjuncts can teach a minimum of one class per academic year and up to 4 classes per semester.
Qualifications
  • Preferred of a master's degree in Communication or closely related field (e.g., journalism, media studies, public relations, broadcasting, or graphic design).
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Communication or closely related field (e.g., journalism, media studies, graphic design) as well as 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to adjust to changing needs and processes while anticipating challenges, identifying problems, and developing solutions

Experience
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Student-centered teaching approaches
  • Professional experience in the Communication field preferred.

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical classroom environment.
