Technical Designer (Gaming)

GC Holder or USC only! W2-FTEWeโre hiring a Technical Designer who operates at the intersection of creative design and developmentโsomeone who doesnโt just design ideas, but builds them into real-time game experiences.This is not a concept-only role.
Your work will ship, be played, and directly impact the player experience.
What Youโll DoYouโll take concepts and turn them into production-ready assets that function inside a live game environment.You will:
- Create animations, particles, and visual effects that enhance gameplay
- Build mockups, UI elements, and game components
- Design and implement 2D/3D assets optimized for real-time performance
- Translate creative ideas into efficient, game-ready implementations
- Partner closely with developers to ensure designs are achievable and performant
- Iterate quickly based on feedback, gameplay needs, and technical constraints

What You Bring
- Strong experience with:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Spine (2D animation)
- Real-time asset pipelines (2D/3D)
- Ability to build optimized, performance-ready assets
- Understanding of how assets function inside a game engine (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
- Experience collaborating across design and development teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly
Bonus
- Experience in mobile gaming or slot games
- Ability to build your own effects (VFX, particles, animations)
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS or scripting
- Exposure to AI-assisted creative tools
For Senior Candidates
- A strong demo reel demonstrating animation principles, VFX, and real-time application
- Experience working inside a game engine in production
- Ability to guide others and communicate effectively across teams
