Job description

Potter’s Touch Knowledge Center is seeking a motivated Sports Program Research & Data Intern to support the development of our youth sports, physical education, futsal, and student leadership initiatives.

This internship is ideal for a college or postgraduate student interested in sports management, football operations, talent development, data analysis, or artificial intelligence in sports. The intern will gain practical experience researching sports-industry trends, organizing program data, evaluating student engagement, and helping PTKC strengthen its athletic and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research current trends in youth sports, football development, talent identification, and sports technology.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing participation and performance data from PTKC sports programs.
  • Help develop simple systems for monitoring student attendance, engagement, skill development, and progress.
  • Research responsible ways artificial intelligence and data analytics can support sports programming and talent development.
  • Assist with planning PE, futsal, sports leadership, and community partnership activities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings.
  • Support communication with sports organizations, coaches, community partners, and families.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling student and organizational information.
  • Work collaboratively with PTKC leadership while completing assigned projects by established deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in sports management, business, data analytics, artificial intelligence, education, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in football, youth sports, talent development, or sports technology.
  • Good written communication, research, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, presentations, and digital research tools.
  • Able to analyze information and communicate findings clearly.
  • Dependable, professional, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Experience playing, coaching, studying, or working in football or another organized sport is preferred but not required.

Schedule and Work Arrangement

This is a part-time internship requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week. Work will include scheduled on-site responsibilities in Kissimmee, Florida, with limited remote research tasks permitted when approved. The internship schedule will be arranged around the selected candidate’s academic commitments and PTKC’s program needs.
