Job Overview

Position Title: Russian-Speaking AMFT Intern / Practicum Student

Location: West Hollywood, CA (Serving the Russian-Speaking Community)
Organization: MBI Health Services, Inc.

Position Overview

MBI Health Services is offering an opportunity for a Russian-speaking AMFT Intern / Practicum Student to complete clinical training hours at our West Hollywood site, located within a strong Russian-speaking community.

This is a hands-on, high-exposure training environment focused on real-world clinical experience, community engagement, and working with underserved populations, including individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

We are a high-access clinic, meaning you will not be sitting and waiting for clients—you will be actively engaged in building relationships, supporting walk-ins, and delivering care immediately.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Support & Service Delivery

  • Provide individual and group therapy services under supervision
  • Assist with intakes, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Support walk-in clients and same-day service delivery model
  • Participate in wellness checks and client engagement efforts

Community Engagement

  • Engage with the Russian-speaking community to build trust and connection
  • Participate in outreach events and on-site engagement activities
  • Support efforts to bring new members into services

Care Coordination

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team (psychiatry, therapists, outreach)
  • Assist in ensuring members are connected to:
  • Therapy services
  • Psychiatric care
  • Ongoing treatment programming

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete documentation in Credible EMR within required timelines
  • Assist with:
  • Progress notes
  • Assessments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.)
  • Follow all HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and BBS requirements
  • Maintain the standard: “If it’s not documented, it’s not done.”

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
  • Actively pursuing AMFT registration (or eligible)
  • Fluent in Russian (required) – speaking, reading, writing
  • Strong interest in community mental health and underserved populations
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-engagement environment
