Job description

The Investment Strategist is the key liaison between Natixis Investment Manager’s affiliated asset management firms and the Natixis distribution organization. 
What you will do:
The Investment Strategist will be assigned several investment strategies with an emphasis on fixed income and will perform the following functions:
  • Act as in-house investment specialist conducting research and providing information regarding product positioning, market perspective, historical performance, attribution, competitive landscape, etc.
  • Prepare investment reports such as performance reporting, competitive analysis, benchmarking, and MPT statistics.
  • Provide support to field sales including attending client meetings and participating in calls with clients.
  • Design and deliver product training to internal departments. Sample training topics include product attributes, positioning, differentiation, portfolio updates, and market context.
  • Collaborate with various groups (portfolio managers, Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to build and maintain consistent product messaging and positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal/external partners (Fund/Product Operations, Legal/Compliance, etc.) on initial product development and ongoing modifications.
  • Create and deliver value-added investment programs where appropriate (seminars, white papers, etc.).
 
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree or CFA preferred (or progress towards designation) strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, including at least 2 years in product strategy, product specialist or related investment role; experience supporting public and/or private fixed income strategies preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required, or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Demonstrated understanding of macroeconomic trends and global markets.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, fixed income instruments and portfolio construction principles.
  • Ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-ready messaging.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with investment analysis tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

In accordance with the Massachusetts Wage transparency act, the expected annual base salary for this Boston, MA, based position is $126,690 - $185,400. Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Natixis sponsored benefit programs.
