Role Summary

AThe T. Rowe Price internship program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, interns also gain exposure to associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking and social events, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups.AAA

Global Trading Division at T. Rowe Price is a key component of the firm's investment management capabilities. This division is responsible for executing trades across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and currencies, in global markets. The team aims to implement investment strategies efficiently and effectively while minimizing transaction costs and market impact.

The Global Trading Division collaborates closely with portfolio managers and analysts to ensure the alignment of trading activities with the firm's broader investment objectives. They leverage advanced technology and data analytics to optimize trading decisions and manage risks. Additionally, the team maintains strong relationships with brokers and counterparties to access liquidity and ensure seamless execution.

You will be placed into a specific department within Global Trading for the duration of the 10-week program with exposure to a variety of areas:

  • Transaction Cost Analysis
  • Portfolio Management and Modeling
  • Portfolio Solutions Group Liaison (Traders/Brokers)
  • Analytical and Quantitative Projects
  • Performance and Data Analytics
  • Risk Management

Responsibilities

Depending on department placement, responsibilities may include:

  • Support analytical and quantitative projects within Investment and Trading Solutions
  • Use data to investigate and evaluate counterparties and algorithmic behavior across asset classes

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full time student pursing a bacheloras degree with and expected graduation date of December 2027 a" May/June 2029
  • Major: Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences, or Quantitative Finance study
  • Demonstrated programming skills or aptitude, especially with R, MATLAB, Python and object-oriented programming

Preferred:

  • Minimum GPA: 3.5 Overall
  • Intellectual curiosity or knowledge of investments, portfolios, and quantitative analysis
  • A growth mindset with commitment to ongoing learning of AI-augmented platforms

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

$75,000 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$75,000 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$75,000 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individualas relevant experience and skills for the role.A Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.A Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
