Why This Internship
As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Business Operations team with Service Center initiatives. Business Operations provides ongoing support to a growing network of 18 Service Centers and over 40 mobile Service locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Service Center Network with ongoing and new continuous improvement projects
  • Follow established procedures for database management, sales projects, and market share studies
  • Analyze labor and time studies and network communication efforts to develop consistency with the Textron Aviation policy and responsibility, maintenance of customer goodwill, and continued profitability
  • Interface with multiple Textron Aviation departments (including Warranty, Product Support, Engineering, Parts and Programs) to ensure all Service Centers meet their goals.
  • Work projects potentially including business cases, Standard Operating Procedure creation, time study reviews on aircraft, labor analysis, SAP data creation, data modeling, and financial analysis of future sites
  • Develop and/or recommend new technological tools or solutions for continuous improvement and efficiencies throughout the service center network.
  • Develop templates, where appropriate, for ongoing improvements in efficiency, standard work, continuous improvement, process consistency, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business Management, Marketing, Sales, or other related field

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Private Pilot's license, A&P license, or previous aerospace experience are desirable
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft is beneficial
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar task

• Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
• Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
