Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. The Technical Support Intern will work onsite between 20-25 hours per week Monday to Friday in our Houston office. Lunch and transportation allowance will be provided.
Role Summary: The Technical Support Intern role is a fully onsite position, 5 days a week. This position will be providing support for a partner migration project. This internship will last about 2 months or longer, depending on the progress of the project. You will assist in device handling, inventory tracking, and basic deployment support.
A Day in the Life of a Technical Support
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities
  • Learn and understand the basic characteristics and use cases of common payment terminals and PIN pads (PAX, Dejavoo, Valor, etc.) to support inventory and deployment operations.
  • Assist with large-scale terminal reprogramming projects related to MID changes and account migrations.
  • Support inventory management in the Houston office, including tracking device status, serial numbers, and movement.
  • Become familiar with device-related CRM and internal systems, and assist with simple deployment and replacement requests.
  • Learn the basic operation and configuration of payment devices, and help with entry-level troubleshooting tasks.
  • Assist in processing merchant applications and entering client information into internal systems.
  • Provide technical assistance for inbound questions related to terminal hardware under supervision.
  • Help ensure deployment tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin-Chinese is required, both written and verbal
  • Must be currently pursuing or have graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in a STEM field
  • Strong ownership mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Able to take initiative and solve problems with guidance.
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks before deadlines.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word (tracking, documentation, basic reporting)
