Summary Description:
While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the material handler will be responsible for moving, loading and unloading materials by operating a fork truck within or near the plant, yard, or work site. Move finished goods between areas; following routing, delivery tickets, or orders. This position will additionally be responsible for all blending room activities, as needed.
Location: Chillicothe, MO
Position: Material Handler
Hours: Night Shift | 7:00 pm - 7:00 am ($2.00 shift differential)
Rate: $21.37
What you'll be doing:
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including all safety policies and procedures
  • Facilitate a safe workplace for all employees
  • Completing pre-use inspections
  • Operates industrial truck to load or move materials and products
  • Follows written and/or oral instructions for materials or containers to be moved
  • Uses scan gun to count, transfer, and record number of units of material/finished goods moved or handled.
  • Opens containers. Transfers materials from Raw to WIP
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, gaylords, or other containers
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, Invoices, Purchase orders, or other records
  • Completes and submits all necessary forms to Production Supervisor
  • Segregates weigh scraps and dumps trash in appropriate containers
  • Performs Blending Room Material Handler duties as needed
  • Other duties as requested by Supervisor

  • Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
  • You have a current license as fork-truck operator
  • You can work independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed
  • You must have the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • You can read, write and perform basis math
  • You have data entry skills and proficient use of a scan gun
  • You can lift up to 50 lbs
  • You can stand, sit, reach, and bend
  • You can push/pull and handle product
  • You must be able to work in conditions that may include heat, humidity, and production noise
