JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
  • Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Locate and packs materials for shipping.
  • Document materials and records units delivered and location of units.
  • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Operate pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
  • Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
  • Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor employees to become more proficient and productive in all aspects of Material Handler responsibilities.
  • Participate in process improvement activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a material handler.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical or occupational training/certification in a related discipline required.
  • Adept at handling multiple tasks of moderate complexity simultaneously.
  • Proficient with prioritizing tasks and meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Data entry skills and the ability to read and analyze information.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Previous stock or inventory experience.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack.

$29.90 - $35.30 an hour
