Position Function:
Drive revenue-focused marketing initiatives, digital strategy, and ticket holder communications for Mississippi State Athletics, with a strategic emphasis on growing attendance, expanding brand awareness, deepening fan engagement, and maximizing overall revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee development and execution of innovative revenue generating and fan engagement digital strategies utilizing email marketing, digital media (organic and paid), web platforms, and mobile app among other methods.
2. Develop and execute a full-scale email marketing program including promotional campaings, nurture sequences, transactional communication, re-engagement and win-back campaigns, and gameday messaging; leveraging audience segmentation and personalization to drive ticket sales, donations, and fan engament.
3. Manage email marketing infrastructure including list growth and hygiene, CRM-intergrated automation workflows, behavioral trigger campaigns, A/B Testing; reporting regulary on open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, and email-attributed revenue.
4. Oversee paid digital strategies including paid search, programmatic display, retargeting, social advertising across all relevant platforms, and video/audio advertising; encompassing audience segmentation, lookalike targeting, creative testing, and performance tracking trhough multi-touch attribution and ROAS reporting.
5. Develop and execute OTT/CTV advertising campaigns across streaming platforms including but not limited to Hulu,Peacock,Amazon, and ESPN+.
6. Develop and execute an SMS marketing program spanning promotional campaigns, gameday messaging, ticket sales and renewal reminders, flash sale alerts, and event-driven communications; utilizing audience segmentation, personalization, and behavioral triggers integrated with CRM and ticketing data to deliver timely messages that drive revenue and deepen fan engagement.
7. Collaborate with the retail partners to plan an execute coordinated digital marketing campaigns promoting branded merchandise and licensed products; integrating retail promotions into email, SMS, paid social, and organic content.
8. Continously evaluate and pilot emerging digital marketing channels including podcasts, connected audio, and influencer partnerships.
9. Support season ticket, partial plan, and single game sales campaign planning to generate revenue and leads for ticketed sports including football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, and softball.
10. Oversee internal advertising and promotional inventory across the athletics website and mobile app, ensuring strategic placement of ticket sales, donations, sponsorships, and merchandise messaging to maximize visibility, click-through, and revenue conversion.
11. Work with Creative Services department to provide graphics, photography, and video content that serve digital strategies and as needed create original content while maintaining brand standards.
12. Collaborate weekly with other department communicators from Fan Experience, Communications, and Bulldog Club to ensure external brand, messaging, and social media alignment as well as push notification strategies.
13. Collaborate with Analytics and Business Strategy team to manage constituent database, evaluate demographic information, segment communications, implement growth strategies/engage new fans, initiate and analyze fan experience surveys, incorporate trackable links, and align with CRM platform.
14. Support execution and fulfillment of digitally sponsored assets solicited by Bulldog Sports Properties.
15. Perform related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position could supervise student interns and full-time staff members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing.
Director Level: Two years of experience in Intercollegiate or Professional Sports-related social and/or digital media with a proven record of progressive approach to Social and Digital Media.
Senior Director Level: Three years of experience in Intercollegiate or Professional Sports-related social and/or digital media with a proven record of progressive approach to Social and Digital Media.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Experience working in Oracle Eloqua
• Experience working in CRM systems preferably Salesforce
• Experience working in Paciolan or similar ticketing systems
• Experience with SMS marketing platforms such as Vozzi
• Experience with paid advertising platforms including google ads, meta ad manager, an other programmatic ad platforms

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Frequent interruptions based on changing priorities; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.

• Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable.
• May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
• Job frequently requires walking, standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
