Content Engineer I (Hybrid)
Primary Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Content Engineer I for our premier client in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
Education and Experience "
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Digital Marketing, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with AI-driven content systems, automation workflows, or structured content generation.
  • Experience in drafting, testing, and refining prompts for generative AI tools to ensure AI-generated outputs adhere to brand voice, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills in English, with the ability to document systems clearly and precisely.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working with content governance models, structured content, or enterprise content systems.
  • Experience designing systems that capture performance data (analytics) and feed it back into the content creation process for continuous optimization.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager) and digital content workflows.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, AI agents, or workflow automation tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives while iterating quickly based on feedback and quality signals.
  • Ability to understand how different technology tools, content types, and team processes fit together.
  • Self-directed, curious, and comfortable experimenting to improve system performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain AI tools, agents, prompts, and workflows that generate use case content in alignment with defined content standards and governance rules.
  • Define and manage prompt logic, system rules, and required semantic elements to ensure consistency in tone, structure, and accuracy across all AI-generated use cases.
  • Monitor AI output quality and identify recurring issues or pattern failures surfaced through content reviews and analytics.
  • Partner with Content Leads, Content Creators, and governance stakeholders to translate content strategy and policy decisions into system behavior.
  • Iterate on prompts, workflows, and system logic to improve accuracy, reduce rework, and support increased content volume.
  • Document system rules, prompts, workflows, and changes to support auditability, knowledge transfer, and long-term sustainability.
  • Support the broader use case content pipeline by ensuring AI systems are reliable, repeatable, and scalable.
  • Ensure AI systems remain adaptable as new use case types, industries, or business priorities are introduced.
