Job description

The Springfield Thunderbirds are currently seeking a Videography Intern for the 2026-27 American Hockey League season. This will be a hands-on experience, providing interns the chance to gain relevant expertise in the field.
This internship position will be responsible for assisting the Creative Services Dept. in tasks that may include, but not be limited to:
  • Record high-quality video footage of on- and off-ice events using DSLR cameras
  • Assist in editing video content for short and long form projects such as game night recaps, hype videos, etc.
  • Label and organize highlights for archiving purposes
  • Conduct weekly office hours to identify video content for social media engagement

Requirements:
  • Must LIVE LOCAL to Springfield, Massachusetts
  • Work ALL Springfield Thunderbirds home games during the 2026-27 season
  • Strong knowledge of Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite including an understanding of After Effects
  • Strong hockey knowledge and interest are highly recommended and encouraged
  • Ability to work pre-arranged office hours during the week
  • Must conduct themselves with a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Must be able to receive Academic Credit for internship
