Summary

The Junior Copywriter is responsible for supporting the creation, editing, and proofreading of engaging content across multiple marketing channels. This teammate assists in developing guest-focused messaging for digital and print communications, including Buckle.com content, email campaigns, social media, promotional materials, and in-store signage. The teammate in this role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with Buckle brand standards, maintains a consistent voice, and supports overall marketing objectives. This teammate will demonstrate excellent writing skills, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a passion for storytelling.

Content Creation and Copywriting

  • Assist with writing and updating marketing copy across various channels, including email, social media, Buckle.com content, in-store signage, and promotional campaigns.
  • Support the development of seasonal, evergreen, and brand-related marketing materials that engage guests and promote Buckle initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas for creative content that helps inform and connect with target audiences.

 Content Editing and Proofreading

  • Review, edit, and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Buckle brand guidelines.
  • Help maintain high-quality, error-free content across marketing and communication materials.
  • Assist with updating existing content and making revisions based on feedback.

 Brand and Marketing Support

  • Follow established brand standards across all guest-facing communications.
  • Support marketing team efforts by helping ensure messaging is consistent across multiple channels and campaigns.
  • Assist with content updates for loyalty programs, promotional offers, and guest communications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with teammates across departments to gather information and support content development projects.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to help create and refine marketing materials.
  • Participate in content reviews and contribute to team discussions and brainstorming sessions.

 Digital Content and Research

  • Conduct research to gather information and support the creation of engaging and informative content.
  • Assist with implementing basic SEO best practices to improve digital content performance.
  • Help organize and manage content resources to support ongoing marketing initiatives.

General

  • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Creative Writing, or a related field and one to three years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with teammates across multiple departments.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace applications.
