Paid Marketing Internship
Kansas Christian Home is seeking a creative, dependable, and motivated Paid Marketing Intern to support our marketing, communications, and outreach efforts. This internship is designed for a student or early-career professional who wants hands-on experience in content creation, graphic design, event promotion, donor communications, and community engagement. The intern will work alongside the marketing team, receive guidance and feedback, and contribute to meaningful projects that help share our mission with residents, families, donors, and the broader community.
Internship Responsibilities
Content Creation: Assist with capturing candid photography and short-form video for social media, events, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
Donor and Community Outreach: Support donor relations, community engagement, and new client outreach through mailings, phone calls, follow-ups, and organized communication projects.
Graphic Design: Help create and edit digital and print materials such as flyers, social media graphics, newsletters, invitations, and promotional pieces.
Event Support: Assist with public events by helping with setup, promotion, guest interaction, and event photography as needed.
Marketing Support: Complete assigned marketing and administrative tasks while learning how nonprofit communications, outreach, and campaign planning are managed.
Project Coordination: Manage assigned projects with support from staff, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and communicate progress clearly.
Qualifications
  • Current student, recent graduate, or early-career professional pursuing experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, nonprofit work, or a related field.
  • Interest in photography, videography, social media, writing, design, or community outreach.
  • Basic experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, video editing, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to create clear, engaging, and accurate content for a variety of audiences.
  • Comfortable interacting professionally with residents, families, donors, clients, staff, and community members.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance and support.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for scheduled events, with advance notice.
Schedule and Compensation
Hours: 10–15 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Some evening or weekend event support may be needed and will be communicated in advance.
Compensation: $15.00/hour
