Job description

Fall 2026 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC.  Expected program dates are September 14 - December 4, 2026. Anticipated working hours will be 20-30 per week. Final hours and schedule will be determined between the intern and their manager.  

Note: Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future. Therefore, in order to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship

Introduction: 

The Product & Business Analytics Intern contributes within the Hardware and System Software product portfolio team to learn and aid with assessing data across multiple operational areas to drive the creation of accurate business metrics to measure product quality, revenue, and gross profit. Enable integrations and automations to drive dashboards for product-level governance.

Must Have: 

  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, including on-site work at our Durham, NC headquarters.
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Education in Business Management

Responsibilities: 

  • Learn about TGCS product offerings and how they are sold, fulfilled, warrantied and serviced. 
  • Review systems databases in Warranty, Service, Support, and Sales. Assess data integrity and determine the data that can be used to generate KPI's at the product-level. Assist in the formulation of the KPI's.
  • Participate in the design, development, implementation, and testing of automated dashboards that the Product Teams can use to track their KPI's and drive actionable insights (product views, customer views, geography views, etc...)

Required Skills: 

  • Currently pursuing business major in Undergraduate Studies
  • Excellent analytical skills  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Problem determination and resolution, attention to detail, teamwork and excellent communication skills.  
  • Effective verbal and written communication; able to read, write, and speak English proficiently 

Preferred Skills:  

  • Database integrations, Data aggregation, AI Data analysis
  • Ability to use code versioning tools like Git, SVN, etc.  
  • Software development experience with Java, C++, or similar 
  • Modern web development experience, including application of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and various JS frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.JS.
