Location: Ashburn, VA - Onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking one or more motivated and technology-driven AI & Process Automation Interns to work closely with various departments across the organization to identify, document, analyze, and automate manual business processes.

The intern will collaborate with teams such as HR, Finance, IT, Federal, Civic & Infrastructure Service to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help implement automation solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, AI tools, and other workflow technologies.

This role provides hands-on experience in business process improvement, automation, AI adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with departments across the organization to understand and document current manual workflows and business processes.
  • Analyze repetitive tasks and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
  • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and automation documentation.
  • Assist in designing and implementing workflow automations using:
    • Microsoft Power Automate
    • Microsoft Power Apps
    • AI and Generative AI tools
    • Forms and approval workflows
    • API integrations and low-code platforms
  • Support automation initiatives for:
    • Employee onboarding
    • Approval workflows
    • Notifications and alerts
    • Data collection and reporting
    • Contract and document routing
    • Service request tracking
    • Dashboard and reporting automation
  • Work with IT and business teams to test, troubleshoot, and improve automated workflows.
  • Help create user guides and training materials for implemented solutions.
  • Research emerging AI and automation technologies that can improve business efficiency.
  • Participate in digital transformation and process optimization initiatives.
