Job description

Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Create content for social posts, blogs, flyers, digital campaigns, video and more. 

  • Participate in the initial planning and ideation graphics with the Marketing team. 

  • Write content within the graphic design like headlines and subheads 

  • Become familiar with the UHM brands. 

  • Participate in competitive analysis and market research gathering. 

  • Organize and prioritize work, meeting deadlines and managing a variety of activities. 

  • Collaborate closely with other internal departments.

SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Content creation skills - must be familiar with Adobe Illustrator. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks. 

  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn. 

  • Positive working attitude, contributing as an individual and team member to accomplish goals. 

  • Ability to collaborate with various levels of partners (employees). 

  • Microsoft Office Skills. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Marketing, Communications or a related major 

  • Must have graphic or digital design experience from an internship, job or coursework. 

  • Junior or Senior Standing.
