Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will be primarily based in our onsite rehabilitation facility in San Bernardino, where they will collaborate within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and resources to facilitate effective treatment and patient recovery. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and re-evaluations of patients to identify limitations and establish treatment objectives.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans guided by evidence-based practices—including therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and manual therapy tailored for orthopedic conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies for injury prevention, ergonomic workplace practices, and self-management techniques to promote independent living.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to meticulously document patient progress, modify treatment plans based on real-time assessments and outcomes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Operate as part of an integrated healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, orthopedic specialists, and nursing staff to provide a holistic treatment experience and align on patient care goals.
  • Engage in regular team meetings and case discussions to foster a collaborative environment and enhance professional expertise through continuous learning.
  • Mentor and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and student interns, fostering their development and enhancing the overall team capacity.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and those suffering from chronic pain. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals at various stages of recovery, providing personalized rehabilitation strategies to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and communicate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience with sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
  • Knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation practices and commitment to ongoing professional development.
