Associate Quality Analyst (Software Tester)

Dallas, TX

12-Month Contract

Brooksource is seeking an Associate Quality Analyst (Software Tester) to support quality assurance initiatives for a Global Fortune 500 consulting client within the telecommunications space. This role focuses on validating applications tied to cloud and GenAI-enabled solutions, ensuring high-quality product delivery across complex environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Internship or strong project experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships, coursework, or academic projects included)
  • Foundational understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and basic automated test cases to validate application functionality
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Assist in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
