Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to perform data center operations. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our client's data center facilities, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of server equipment.
This position has a 100% onsite requirement.
Core Responsibilities
The Data Center Operations Manager will:

  • Ensure 24/7 operations and security of data centers
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop, implement, and enforce data center policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectives
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center operations

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations; AND
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR
  • Advanced certifications (e.g. Data Center Certified Associate, Certified Data Center Professional) preferred

    • Data center infrastructure and network technologies
    • HVAC, UPS, and power distribution systems
    • Network and server hardware

    • Capacity / performance planning and lifecycle management

  • Familiarity with industry and compliance standards and federal security requirements (e.g., FISMA/NIST)
