Salary Range: $66,000 to $86,000
This position primarily involves working on-site at the project location or in office. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline.

THE DATA CENTER TEAMWe build mission-critical data centers throughout the U.S. to ensure crucial information accessed by millions of people is always available and secure. ABOUT THE ROLEWe're seeking a Project Engineer ready to be on the front lines of a project--giving daily support to the field, project management, and customer teams. Our Project Engineers (PE) are vital in keeping our processes moving along and assists in the execution of project plans. This role will be responsible for specific activities such as coordinating material onsite delivery dates, maintaining RFI, submittals, and change order logs, and will serve as a key point of contact for internal customers.

• Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.

• Participates with Project Management on the execution of estimating activities including project bids and change orders.
• Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
• Supports the team by coordinating material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
• Partners with CEI safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
• Maintains complete and accurate RFI, submittal and change order logs. Maintains an organized filing system and structure.
• Maintains current drawing log and distributes new information to team members and subcontractors.
• Maintains close out log. Requests relevant documentation and submits to customer.
• Standardizing and documenting the above procedures.
• Auditing the use of standardized procedures across job sites.

WHAT YOU WILL GAINAt Cupertino Electric you'll be on a career development path to project management. You'll work directly for a project manager or project executive on a team that partners with field, engineering, and design teams. It's ok if you don't have a deep understanding of electrical construction, just be ready to learn and get fired up. You'll have the opportunity to soak up knowledge from everyone you work with - from the journeyman and general foreman to the project team assigning daily tasks. In addition to on-the-job experience and mentoring from your peers, you'll attend vendor off sites, training classes, and other learning opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: None required.
Experience: Zero (0) years of construction or related experience required. Two (2) years of construction or related experience preferred.
Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
