What You'll Do

As a Data Center Technician II, you will serve as a critical member of the operations team, responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level server infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues to identify root causes and perform repairs.
  • Replace and install hardware components, including power supplies, memory modules, SSDs, GPUs, CPUs, and other server components.
  • Coordinate replacement parts and manage defective hardware returns.
  • Perform firmware upgrades and hardware updates to ensure systems remain compliant and operational.
  • Configure server settings, including IP addressing and system credentials.
  • Support installation, deployment, and integration of server and network infrastructure.
  • Rack, stack, cable, and deploy servers and networking equipment within data center environments.
  • Install, replace, and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling.
  • Support network teams by resolving server-related issues and assisting with hardware modifications and upgrades.
  • Replace damaged cables, optics, and other infrastructure components.
  • Assist with infrastructure expansion, hardware deployment projects, and ongoing operational support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to maintain data center reliability and performance.

  • Proven experience performing true Level 2 hardware troubleshooting and break/fix activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
