Compensation is in the range of $60k to $70k.

Job Summary

The Concrete Batch Technician operates and maintains batching equipment to mix cement, aggregates, water, and additives into concrete for delivery to construction sites. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In essence the Concrete Batch Technician is the operational backbone of a concrete plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, calibrate, and operate batching equipment to measure and mix concrete components accurately.
  • Verify correct admixtures and dosages; test and record results on concrete and aggregates to ensure compliance within job specifications.
  • Receive, inspect, and store raw materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures); monitor inventories and order supplies as needed.
  • Work with dispatchers to adjust truck demand and delivery schedules; batch orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of plant equipment; follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of batch production, material usage, and equipment performance.
  • Adjust mixing processes based on environmental conditions and material characteristics; interpret safety and operating instructions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in concrete batching preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Concrete Batcher or in a similar role in the construction/concrete industry.
  • Strong understanding of concrete mixing processes, material properties, and batching software.
  • Proficiency in using batch mixing machinery and computer batching systems.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Work Environment
