Job Description
Constellation Brands, Inc. seeks Director, Core Platforms Architecture for Rochester, NY location.
Job Duties:
  • Assure availability, continuity, integrity, security, and recovery of all SAP components both individually and holistically, ensuring definition and implementation of associated processes.
  • Accountable for lifecycle management of all SAP systems and tightly coupled technologies including establishing practices and providing oversight for application of service packs, version upgrades, preventative, and corrective maintenance through change management process by leading and influencing staff and partners.
  • Influence CBI product roadmaps to extract maximum value based on expertise and evolution of vendor products.
  • Lead a team with responsibilities and capabilities in SAP BASIS, HANA database and SAP Security.
  • Maintain knowledge of SAP roadmap and emerging technologies impacting SAP Basis, make recommendations to improve efficiency, throughput, capabilities and/or capacity.
  • Drive operational excellence, provide level III incident and problem management, including resolution and root cause analysis of the most complex SAP Basis and database issues.
  • Lead interaction with Core Product, Platform Management and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver solutions in accordance with budget and timeline constraints.
  • Lead Platform Operations team members, providing technical guidance and mentoring to aggressively seek solutions to obstacles.
  • Establish best practices and oversee monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP environment and SAP transport system.
  • Maintain performance and capacity plans (including licensing) in line with product roadmap developments.
  • Establish data retention and archiving strategy and lead team responsible for implementation of solutions and continuous evolution and driving adoption through the product teams.
  • Develop Disaster Recovery plans, procedures, and test scenarios in collaboration with Cloud Engineering team and provide technical guidance at regular DR rehearsals.
  • Review current SAP application landscape, continually assess environmental requirements aligned with product team roadmaps, lead build (or decommissioning) of SAP instances.
  • Responsible for understanding and defining security roles and authorizations required by the platform team, ensures appropriate controls and usage of privileged access.
  • Utilize experience with the latest and new dimensional SAP products like SAP DWC, SAP Signavio, SAP BTP is mandatory.
  • Lead and architect SAP TM implementation from Platform Management and Enterprise Architecture perspective.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of cybersecurity threats and system vulnerabilities and develop comprehensive remediation strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Formulate and execute implementation plans aligned with industry best practices and regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring enhanced security posture and reduced exposure to potential cyber threats.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 7 years of relevant SAP Basis Platform experience, including:
  • Leading a team.
  • SAP Basis planning, installations and configurations (SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, SLT, SOLMAN, GRC, TM, BTP, Signavio, Cloud essentials, DWC, and BOBJ).
  • HANA High Availability and Disaster Recovery hosted in cloud or hybrid environment.
  • Running and maintaining SAP in hybrid environments and exposure to multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, RISE, Azure, or GCP.
  • Connecting SAP systems with other enterprise applications, cloud platforms, or third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.

May telecommute and report as needed to headquarter in Rochester, NY.
Salary for this position is $194,002.
