Internship Client Onboarding information

What is an internship client onboarding role?

An Internship Client Onboarding role involves assisting new clients as they begin their relationship with a company, typically in financial services or technology sectors. Interns in this position help collect client information, assist with documentation, and ensure all compliance requirements are met. They work closely with internal teams to coordinate a smooth onboarding process, learn about regulatory standards, and develop customer service skills. This role is ideal for students interested in client relations, operations, or compliance.

What are some common challenges an intern might face during the client onboarding process, and how can they address them?

Interns in client onboarding often encounter challenges such as understanding complex client requirements, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapting to various onboarding software tools. To address these, it's helpful to ask clarifying questions, take thorough notes during training, and proactively communicate with team members. Additionally, seeking feedback and collaborating closely with both the onboarding team and clients can help interns quickly adapt and contribute effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an internship client onboarding specialist?

To thrive as an Internship Client Onboarding Specialist, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of client relationship management, typically supported by ongoing education in business or a related field. Familiarity with CRM systems, onboarding software, and productivity tools like Microsoft Office is usually expected. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude help interns build rapport with clients and coordinate effectively with internal teams. These skills ensure smooth onboarding processes, satisfied clients, and valuable learning experiences for career development.

Job description

This role is a hybrid role and all candidates must be located in the Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

About Aroris

The healthcare system is broken" — we've all heard this a million times. Here's the critical piece that is broken (that you maybe didn't know): insurance companies have leverage, and they use it, systematically squeezing providers to the point where staying afloat becomes the focus over patient care. That's the gap Aroris exists to close. We put the power back where it belongs, in the hands of the people actually delivering care.

We do that through Aroris360, our platform that combines deep payer expertise, AI-driven analytics, and live claims monitoring to find underpayments, negotiate better contracts, and hold payers accountable, continuously. We serve private healthcare practices across the country. We find the money, we help get it, and we ensure it continues to come in.

We're growing fast and building with intention. That means the culture here isn't accidental, it's a deliberate decision we make every day through four core values:

Joyful. We bring genuine energy and care to our work. Not forced enthusiasm, real investment in each other and in the mission.

Team Player. Collaboration over ego, always. The win belongs to everyone, or it doesn't count.

Driven. We set high expectations for ourselves and pursue them with urgency. Good enough isn't in our vocabulary.

Relentless. We don't stop until the work is done and done well. Full stop.

Our core values aren't hanging up on the wall. They show up in how we hire, how we give feedback, how we recognize each other, and how we make decisions under pressure. We celebrate people who exemplify them. If you're looking for a company that means what it says about culture, this is the one.

Role overview

As a key member of the Aroris Service team, the Account Services Associate is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with assigned clients and enabling smart negotiations with payers. As the connective force between clients, negotiators, and payers, the Account Services Associate plays a critical role in turning complex payer contracting work into clear, coordinated action. This person helps keep high-stakes negotiations moving, ensures clients have confidence in the process, and supports the work that helps providers secure the reimbursement they deserve. By bringing structure, urgency, and exceptional follow-through to every interaction, the Account Services Associate helps translate Aroris’ mission into measurable value for our provider partners. Strong communication skills and a willingness to “lean in” to the inherent complexity of the relationship between payers and providers is essential.
