Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cisco Network Engineer to join Federal Program in Warner Robins, GA. The Network Engineer will support the Department of Defense by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructure to meet the mission-critical needs. Responsibilities of the Cisco Network Engineer include: · Architect, implement, and manage Cisco-based network infrastructures to support scalable, secure, and reliable data center expansions. · Act as the lead subject matter expert on Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated systems. · Deploy and uphold robust network security protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encrypted communications. · Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive integration of network systems within data center operations. · Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues to maintain high availability and performance. · Perform network performance evaluations and recommend enhancements for optimization. · Ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity standards and policies, including compliance with STIGs. · Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, operational procedures, and system processes. · Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
