An Internship in Christian Science typically refers to a temporary position designed for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience working within organizations affiliated with the Christian Science faith, such as The First Church of Christ, Scientist or its related institutions. These internships may involve roles in research, writing, outreach, youth programs, or administrative support, all within a framework guided by Christian Science principles. The goal is to help interns develop professional skills while deepening their understanding and practice of Christian Science in a supportive, faith-based environment.

Interns in Christian Science organizations, such as The Christian Science Monitor or church-affiliated departments, often work on projects that support communication, media, community outreach, or administrative functions. Tasks may include assisting with editorial content, participating in research, supporting event coordination, or helping with digital media initiatives. Interns typically collaborate closely with experienced professionals and may have opportunities to attend meetings, contribute ideas, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment. This exposure helps interns develop skills relevant to both faith-based and broader non-profit or media careers.

Job description

OneHope is an international Christian nonprofit with the mission: God's Word, Every Child. We develop Scripture-engagement programs that are used by global partners and churches to help share Jesus with children and youth. We work hand-in-hand with our global teams to contextualize the programs that we develop for the cultures they are intended to serve. Through collaborating with local churches, schools, and governments, we have reached over 2 billion children with a relevant Gospel message through print, storytelling, film, and digital programs since we began in 1987.

Cultivate, OneHope's internship program, is designed for students and recent graduates who have a desire to connect their valuable skills with mission-driven work, investing in their gifts and passions while serving the global Church. At OneHope, we make an effort to build in opportunities and experiences to support relational, professional, spiritual, and missional growth. With affordable, on-site housing located 15 minutes away from the beach, our internship program is a one-of-a-kind paid experience. To see some fun highlights, check out our Instagram @cultivateusa!
