Familiarity with digital tools for research, publishing, or communication, as well as any certifications required by the specific department (such as journalism or education), is often necessary. Interns typically collaborate closely with experienced professionals and may have opportunities to attend meetings, contribute ideas, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment. This exposure helps interns develop skills relevant to both faith-based and broader non-profit or media careers.
