Internship Capture information

What is an internship capture?

An Internship Capture typically refers to a role or program designed to identify, attract, and recruit students or early-career professionals for internship opportunities within an organization. The main goal is to build relationships with potential candidates, often through university partnerships, career fairs, and targeted outreach. People working in internship capture may coordinate with hiring managers, manage application processes, and ensure a positive candidate experience. This role is vital for companies seeking to build a strong pipeline of future talent.

What types of projects or responsibilities can an intern expect during an internship capture position?

In an Internship Capture role, interns typically support the business development or proposal teams by assisting with market research, gathering competitive intelligence, and helping organize documentation for upcoming bids or proposals. You may also help coordinate meetings, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with proposal requirements. This role often involves collaborating with various departments, such as technical experts, project managers, and writers, providing a comprehensive view of the capture and proposal process. Such experience is valuable for understanding the full lifecycle of government or commercial contracting and can open doors to future roles in business development or proposal management.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an internship coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Internship Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of educational and career development practices, and a relevant degree in education, human resources, or a related field. Familiarity with internship management software, applicant tracking systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are commonly required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, employers, and academic staff set top performers apart. These skills ensure effective placement processes, positive experiences for interns and employers, and the overall success of internship programs.

Job description

The Village Dallas is a one-of-a-kind residential community and we want photos that actually do
it justice. We're looking for a photography intern who can capture the energy, the people, the
spaces, and the moments that make living here special.

Your shots will live on our website, social channels, print materials, and
marketing campaigns. This is a real portfolio-builder not stock photo
replacements.

What you'll actually shoot:
  • Photograph community events, amenities, and everyday life at The Village
  • Capture lifestyle moments that feel authentic (not staged)
  • Shoot property and architectural photos that make people want to move in yesterday
  • Edit and retouch images for use across digital and print channels
  • Organize and maintain a library of assets so the marketing team can actually find things
  • Collaborate with the social media team to supply content for campaigns
  • Occasionally assist with behind-the-scenes video or B-roll footage

You're our shot if...:
  • You're studying Photography, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field or you'vebuilt serious skills on your own
  • You have a portfolio that shows range: people, spaces, events, or lifestyle work
  • You know your way around a DSLR or mirrorless camera (and you have one)
  • Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop are basically second nature to you
  • You can work quickly on deadline without sacrificing quality
  • You're comfortable directing subjects who aren't professional models
  • You have a genuine interest in community, real estate, or lifestyle photography
Bonus points for...:
  • Video shooting and editing experience (even short-form)
  • Drone photography certification (FAA Part 107)
  • Experience with real estate or hospitality photography
  • A social media presence that shows off your work

What's in it for you:
  • A growing portfolio with real-world client work you can show off
  • Mentorship from our marketing and creative team
  • Access to some of Dallas's most beautiful properties and spaces to shoot
  • Flexible scheduling to fit around your summer
