Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in any combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, computer science, economics, finance, information technology, information systems decision science, management, or quantitative methods plus three years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in any combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, computer science, economics, finance, information technology, information systems decision science, management, or quantitative methods plus three years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information technology, computer science, quantitative methods, or an information systems field plus three years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree plus a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification plus two years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology; OR

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The Auditor-Information Systems 3 is responsible for the following:
  • Planning and conducting IT audits of casino gaming systems to evaluate internal controls, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Designing and executing audit programs to assess system integrity, change management, and software development controls.
  • Reviewing system upgrades, production changes, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and operational reliability.
  • Evaluating application and network controls, monitors security processes, and identifies system risks and deficiencies.
  • Collaborating with casino management, gaming laboratories, and software vendors to resolve complex technical issues and ensure compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining audit documentation, reports findings, and provides technical guidance and training.
  • Traveling statewide to perform field audits and other related duties in support of the Gaming Enforcement Audit Section.

Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position is a promotional opportunity for current, permanent employees of DPS/Louisiana State Police.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Location: This vacancy is located in the Gaming Audit Section of the Office of State Police located in Calcasieu Parish.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
