Survey Internship
Want to spend your summer outdoors? T. Baker Smith is actively seeking motivated interns looking for the opportunity to work under the supervision of a licensed surveyor and have the opportunity for growth and additional training in the world of forestry, geomatics, and engineering.
Your Opportunity:

  • Work alongside party chiefs and field operations to communicate daily crew assignments.
  • Learn to operate necessary survey instruments to fulfill project requirements.
  • Assist in compiling notes, sketches, and records of survey data obtained.
  • Gather necessary equipment and supplies to fulfill project requirements.
  • Work alongside party chiefs and field operations to communicate daily crew assignments.
  • Contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Actively enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program in a related field (geomatics/surveying or a related field (cartography, computer science, civil engineering, geography, and others)
  • Valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Qualifications and Work Environment:
  • Frequent standing, walking while carrying equipment, possibly through rugged terrain.
  • Operating and riding in varying types of boats.
