We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team.

This role will involve acting as a liaison between the IT organization and business partners to analyze business issues, define requirements, and design solutions supporting a statewide Case Management System modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, requirements elicitation, API integration, and Agile methodologies with a passion for technology-driven process improvement.

Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site)
Duration: 8 Months
Job Description:
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business partners to analyze business issues and define requirements.
  • Develop requirements documentation including use case narratives, diagrams, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with API developers to define service calls, formats, and data content for endpoints.
  • Create clear, concise, and comprehensive data flow diagrams using Lucidchart.
  • Explain complex data flows to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop workflow charts, process flow diagrams, and user story maps.
  • Create and maintain user stories in JIRA and manage project milestones.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure compliance with business objectives.
  • Facilitate customer and project meetings to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements.
  • Document system processes, user guides, and training materials.
  • Work on multiple moderate to complex projects simultaneously within development environments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Business Analyst experience.
  • 5 years of experience identifying and gathering business and functional requirements for complex software solutions.
  • 5 years of experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with API developers and defining API service calls.
  • 3+ years of experience creating data flow diagrams and screen designs using Lucidchart.
  • Strong experience acting as a liaison between business partners and development teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week and travel up to 10% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in state or local government, particularly with the Georgia Criminal Justice System.
  • Advanced experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL certification.
